After more than 2 years we are discontinuing Mapgather.com. Over the years we have seen cool Mapgather projects, which sometimes received over 10,000 responses. We thank you for this!
With these steps we will “freeze” Mapgather:
From March 1, 2021:
- You can no longer create new projects in Mapgather.com. Old projects continue to work.
From April 1, 2021:
- You can no longer log in to Mapgather.com and edit projects or moderate comments.
- We permanently “freeze” old projects. Projects placed on your website will continue to work, but visitors can no longer add new comments. You can, however, view all old responses.
- We permanently delete personal data. So your email address and telephone number for logging in, but also all personal data that your visitors have left in the special personal data fields in recent months.
- After April 1, we are always open to requests to delete old projects or old responses.

If you liked the concept of Mapgather, you could try one of these alternatives. Please note: we do not have extensive experience with these platforms ourselves.
